When in the course of human events, it becomes apparent that a new approach is needed to provide for the safety and welfare of our citizens in the quest to meet our energy needs.
We The People, have stepped forward to lay out a different course of action SO WE MAY PURSUE Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.
We, the undersigned, DECLARE OUR ENERGY INDEPENDENCE.
We pledge to transition away from oil and fossil fuels that endanger our national security, our public health and our economy. Moving to clean energy will create good jobs and strengthen our nation by keeping energy dollars here at home.
We pledge to advance policies - at the local, state and federal level - that provide the market certainty to accelerate a low carbon economy.
The time for a clean energy revolution is now.
